ASTEROID APPS

In the Light Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

In the Light is a collaboration app for groups to organize topics, files, notes, and related discussion. This policy explains how Asteroid Apps handles information used by the app.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, provide your groups and shared content, send and manage invitations, operate requested Google Drive features, protect the service, and fix problems. We do not sell your personal information or use your app content for advertising.

When information is shared

Information you add to a group may be visible to other members of that group. We use Google Firebase to provide authentication and cloud data storage, and Google Drive when you choose to connect it. These service providers process information on our behalf to operate the app. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.

Retention and your choices

You can edit or remove content that you control in the app. If you request account deletion, we will delete your account and associated personal information from our active systems, except where retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Group content shared with other members may remain available to those members when appropriate to preserve their group records.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including Firebase security controls, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

In the Light is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, email support@asteroidapps.dev.
